Your invitation to five classical concerts over three days specially curated for Four Winds, and performed by a superb and internationally acclaimed lineup of musicians. This varied program from Andrea Lam and friends will inspire classical lovers and newcomers alike, making this an Easter not to be forgotten.
Easter Weekend at Four Winds sees three days of classical music curated by one of Australia’s foremost pianists Andrea Lam. Andrea has performed across the globe, inspiring and enrapturing audiences and this Easter she will be bringing her talents to the Sapphire Coast curating and performing selections from Beethoven, Schuman, Tosti, Amy Beach, Brahms, Chopin, Janáček, Schubert, Bach and Paul Schoenfield.
In the afternoon, we enter Schubert’s haunting Winterreise. In a letter to his friend Franz Schober, Schubert wrote “whenever I tried to sing of love, it turned to pain. And again, when I would sing of pain, it turned to love.” This profound tension lies at the heart of Winterreise, an epic, extraordinarily beautiful journey of yearning, loss, delusion, and self-reflection.
