Description

Enjoy a soulful celebration of connection, culture and community this Easter in Coral Bay on WA’s World Heritage Listed Nyinggulu (Ningaloo) coastline. Baiyungu Aboriginal Corporation, owners of Jamba Nyinayi Festival, invite people of all cultures, communities, and nationalities to Cardabia Station to camp and enjoy a remarkable lineup of local and nationally recognised Indigenous performers plus workshops, storytelling and food. Jamba Nyinayi means ‘sit for a while’ in Baiyungu language. Cardabia Station is owned and operated by the Baiyungu people and is just a five-minute drive from the township of Coral Bay. ‘Connection’ is the 2025 theme and the program is being finalised by Traditional Owner Host and Cultural Director Hazel Walgar, and Artistic Director David Hyams. As Traditional Owners, the Baiyungu People have long welcomed and guided visitors safely through Nyinggulu Country. Jamba Nyinayi Festival is made possible thanks to the Presenting Partner Shire of Carnarvon; Major Supporters Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries; and Rio Tinto; and supporters Tourism Western Australia, Regional Arts WA; Horizon Power and Ngaarda Media.
