Description
Jesse Dayan's series of paintings offer an intimate tableau of changing seasons, nostalgia, and the connections between people and place.
Influenced by the loose, expressive studies of Edward Hopper and Edouard Manet, the urban scenes of Elwin Hawthorne and compositions of Félix Vallotton, the works offer a contemporary take on Modernist ideals.
Rich in colour and deeply personal, Dylan's art invites the viewer to engage with both the familiar world around us, and the layered, subjective experience of the artist. They offer a deliberate counterpoint and reprieve from hyper-real digital and AI images.
Town Hall Gallery has recently announced distinct Storytime and Quiet Hour programs, assuring that both families, and those that seek lower sensorial stimuli, are accommodated when they visit the gallery. Quiet Hour is Thursdays from 9am to 10am, no bookings required.
