Creative Artisans - Tracey Moorhead and Jennifer Unwin

The Creative artisans artists for the month of May are Tracey Moorhead and Jennifer Unwin Originally from Sydney, Tracey Moorhead has been blessed to be living in the Northern Rivers for around 7 years. In past lives she has done a little bit of china painting, a little lead lighting and a little bit of piano and guitar playing. She has also dabbled in photography and penned quite a few poems. During COVID she was gifted some pastels and about 3 weeks later had a bit of a play and the rest, as they say, is history. She is obsessed with the magnitude of combinations and endless possibilities! Jennifer Unwin, a Northern Rivers native and an early career artist, works as a multimedia artist across Australia, as well as being a member of our local arts group BACCI. Jennifer uses a blend of influences to inform and respond to elements of nature, she explores the diverse rich and gentle elements that abound in her immediate garden and landscape, which connect her to the area on an intrinsic level. In this exhibition she has focused on bringing to the fore, elements of printmaking with botanicals, demonstrated printmaking techniques across fibre and works on and off paper to refine prints and the substance of paper itself.
