Get ready for an afternoon of musical favourites and timeless swing-era jazz as reed player and band leader Jason Downes brings The Savoy Quartet to the stage at 360Q on Sunday, May 18.
With the enchanting vocals of Tamsin West and Downes’ dynamic clarinet, The Savoy Quartet brings the elegance, energy and unforgettable melodies of the swing era to life.
Joining them are multi-instrumentalist Ian Smith on bass and drums and Melbourne jazz legend David Allardice on piano, completing a stellar lineup.
From the great jazz clubs of the bygone era to the bright lights of Broadway, this performance is a celebration of the music that shaped the ’20s ’30s and ’40s – an afternoon of swing and nostalgia you won’t want to miss.
