Australia's Coral Coast

This stretch of coast does something almost no other reef destination can, putting the world's largest fringing reef within wading distance of the sand. Swim with whale sharks in season, one of the few reliable places anywhere to do so, or spot manta rays gliding through the same clear water. The road trip between Geraldton, Kalbarri, Coral Bay and Exmouth strings together some of the best coastal scenery in the country. Two World Heritage listings sit on this one stretch of coast, and neither feels like an afterthought.
