Australia's highest point, and you can walk to the top
This range holds the country's highest point, and getting there doesn't demand much, a well-formed track carrying most walkers to Kosciuszko's summit in a single day. Winter turns the whole range into ski country, Thredbo and Perisher running lifts through the snow season and mountain bikers once it melts. Underground, the Yarrangobilly Caves hide limestone chambers and a naturally warm thermal pool. Few mountain ranges change this completely with the seasons.
