Lake Moodemere Regatta

Every year three local rowing clubs combine together to host the Murray Rowing Association Regatta: - Corowa Rowing Club, Rutherglen Lake and Wahgunyah Rowing clubs. This regatta is held on Lake Moodemere on the 2nd weekend in January every year. This regatta is rich in history, it first commenced in 1860 and it is the longest running regatta in Rowing Victoria’s history. Over 20 years ago this regatta was on the brink of collapse being held on one day with only 30 entries. Fast forward to current times and the regatta is now a two day event. Races occur every three minutes from 8:00am until 5:15pm on Saturday and from 7:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday.
