Description
The Fish Creek Children's Festival of Stories - Fishy Stories, is a one-day festival in Fish Creek where families can enjoy a range of activities and events. The day is filled with free workshops by authors and illustrators and continual performances by the Amazing Luigi Zucchini and twenty selected stories from the 2024 Writing Challenge
Fish Creek comes alive with wondering storytellers and fun activities. See if you can crack the monster 'UV Treasure Hunt' code or test your construction skills at the Box Wars tent.
All-day showcase marquees round off the festivities featuring MyLi Libraries silly songs and funny games, Maureen Marks storytelling and story making and the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
The day features entrants from the 2024 Fishy Stories National Writing Challenge over 500
entries from students (years one to eight).
In its fourth year, Fishy Stories is a volunteer not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to engage young people in the process of story making and storytelling.
