Star Gazing in Paddock Creek Reserve

Description
Friends of Paddock Creek (FoPC) are holding an additional series of six stargazing events in the second half of 2024.
Paddock Creek Reserve is a good place to stargaze as it is relatively dark at night with open skies.
FoPC held a number of successful stargazing events in 2023 and early 2024 with the support of a Community Events grant from Moorabool Shire Council. Funding through the Stronger Communities Program enabled the purchase of the telescope.
The stargazing events will be held near the rotunda at Paddock Creek Reserve on Lyndhurst St - opposite the dam. A limit of 20 people will apply so that everyone can have a reasonable viewing and a chance to learn how to use a telescope. It will be dark and could be cold, so please dress accordingly. If you bring a torch a red LED is preferred, if possible.
A small charge will apply.
