Description
Sweat flies to the beat of driving live percussion as seven highly-skilled acrobats leap, roll, trip and swing around the stage. With their daring gymnastics, A Simple Space’s performers elicit uncontrolled responses from the audience, some of whom get closer to the action than they bargained for.
Without overwrought lighting, makeup, costumes and plot, the performers of A Simple Space have nothing to rely on beyond their skill, energy and finely-honed talent. They push, pull, elevate and twist their bodies in playfully competitive games that show off the trust and friendship they’ve developed over many years on stage.
Delivered with irresistible humour, A Simple Space lets viewers hear every heaving breath, feel the heat of the moment and be immersed in each gravity-defying moment. Marvelling at the abilities of the human body is all the entertainment one needs. A Simple Space might take place in a minimalist setting but its antics are anything but.
