Rushworth Easter Heritage Festival

On Easter Saturday spend the day in beautiful Rushworth enjoying their annual Easter Heritage Festival. Held on their heritage-listed High Street, there will be market stalls galore, a wood auction run by Shearing for Kids with Cancer, an Easter egg hunt and lots of free entertainment for the kids including a giant dragon maze, animal farm, and face painting. Live music is provided throughout the day and there are plenty of food vans and local cafes to keep you fed and watered. Competitions held on the day include a fun dog show and their ever-popular Easter bonnet parade. No registration is necessary, just bring along your four-legged friend and your Easter bonnet and join in the free fun. The highlight of the day is the huge street parade at 1.00pm which includes vintage steam machinery, vintage cars and trucks and the fabulous Moora draught horses and the Easter bunny. Spend the weekend in the country and also visit the Moora Working Draught Horse Muster on Easter Sunday at Moora Recreation Reserve - just 7km from Rushworth. Gates open at 8.30 with demonstrations running from 9.30 and throughout the day.
