Redlands Coast Candle Lighting Vigil 2025

The Redlands Coast Candle Lighting Vigil remembers those who have died because of domestic and family violence. This vigil will be one of many held simultaneously to mark the beginning of Queensland's Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month lighting up the state in remembrance of those who have lost their lives. Each year in Australia more than 100 women, children and men lose their lives because of domestic and family violence. The vigil will not only remember those who have died but will also acknowledge the profound immediate and long-term impact on families, loved ones and children left behind. The ceremony is a respectful memorial service supported by all levels of government, local domestic and family violence service groups, police and emergency services.
