Experience the depth and sophistication of history’s best-loved 20th-century composers at Dedications, the final concert of Orchestra Victoria's 2024 Southbank Series. Led by Fabian Russell and performed on 23 November at Hanson Dyer Hall, the program opens with Schnittke’s extraordinary Concerto Grosso No. 1, a work featuring two of Orchestra Victoria’s esteemed violinists, Yi Wang (Deputy Concertmaster) and Erica Kennedy (Associate Principal First Violin). Conclude with Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, offering a poignant reminder of the enduring human spirit. Join in for the final concert in the 2024 Southbank Series and experience the power of orchestral music from the best seat in the house.
