Defining Symbols of Australia

Australia is represented by many symbols, such as the flag, the kangaroo, wattle, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Uluru. Some symbols endure, others fade away and new ones emerge as attitudes and values change. Inspired by the National Museum of Australia’s collection, this exhibition explores some of the symbols that define Australia and its people.
