Relax, take a deep breath and listen. This unique concert experience will reveal every detail of the music with unparalleled clarity and depth. Sit or recline on a yoga mat as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra guides you on a peaceful journey in this one-hour event performed in near darkness. Copland captures the stillness of night and the quiet resilience of the American spirit in his Rodeo: Corral Nocturne. Silvestrov’s Prayer for Ukraine is a poignant meditation on hope, and Caroline Shaw’s in manus tuas and Entr’acte introduce contemporary textures and hypnotic rhythms. A featherlight touch of piano in Silvestrov’s The Messenger – 1996 will lift you into serenity, and Pärt’s Fratres closes the program with haunting resonance.
