Moulamein Races is country racing at its best! The Moulamein Race Club's annual race meeting is held on the second Saturday in December, transforming Moulamein into a bustling hub of pre-Christmas excitement. With the town’s population swelling four-fold, this unique event offers an authentic country racing experience in a spacious rural setting that’s unlike any other. Featuring a six-race program on a dirt track, the event boasts a 100-meter straight lined with private, track-side marquees. Guests can enjoy fully catered packages while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. Attendees dress in everything from relaxed country style to stunning fashions, all vying for the prestigious "Fashions on the Field" crown. The event also includes live music from a solo performer, a 4-sided bough shed bar, and plenty of food options from various food vans. Families are welcome, with free children's entertainment including face-painting, jumping castles, and magicians.
