The Whitlams - Gone Coastal

Join The Whitlams as they take to the stages of picturesque beachside towns, with the soundtrack to summer they played up and down the coast in the mid 90s. The Whitlams four piece will recreate the rollicking energy of its seven studio albums, with a focus on “Love This City” from 1999, which featured the hit singles “Blow Up the Pokies” and “Thank You (for loving me at my worst)”. The Whitlams are Tim Freedman on piano and vocals, Jak Housden on guitar, Terepai Richmond on drums, and newest member, Ian Peres, on Hammond organ and electric bass. The Whitlams were a touring phenomenon long before their breakout 1997 hit "Eternal Nightcap". They had forged a reputation as a brilliant live act on countless jaunts up and down the East Coast from 1993 to 1996, and last year decided to reinstitute the tradition each January.
