Be at its heart for this opening night party: a roving degustation inspired by the unscripted magic of culinary collaboration. Traverse South Australia through dishes paired with the state’s standout beverages. Meet the producers whose ingredients feature, and watch chefs at work over open flame. Expect music, conversation and theatre as we invite the nation’s best and brightest to do their thing. Shaping the revelry: local stars Emma Shearer, Jamie Musgrave, Mark Jensen, Sam Smith, Paul Stone, Alexis Besseau and Jacob Davey, together with Viand’s Annita Potter. Dishes will be offered from eight locations, each featuring a matched drink served by the people who made them: Yangarra’s Peter Fraser, Sue Bell from Bellwether, Gentle Folk’s Gareth Belton and Koen Jensen of Bink Wines, together with selections from The Lane, Seppeltsfield, Never Never and Pirate Life. We’ll have everything from snacks to mains, dessert and a cheese-driven offering, all served across our new Drinks Academy space and showcasing the festival at its most exciting.
