Sport for Jove’s new Summer Season production, directed by the wonderful Samantha Young (Away, 2016), challenges the play's darkest edges, while celebrating its extraordinary liveliness and tumultuous couplings – Benedick and Beatrice, Hero and Claudio – along with the eccentric community that orbits them. Don Pedro’s army is home, and so the war begins – can women trust men, can men recognise women, can love be defined by something more than words?
