An Afternoon with the Artists

Come along for an afternoon with the State of the Art Quilt Exhibition Curator, Julie Tasker, and other members of the Queensland Quilters to officially open the latest Art Quilt Exhibition, Red Expressions. Learn more about the exhibition, hear the stories behind the artworks, mingle with likeminded individuals and enjoy some light refreshments. This exhibition commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Queensland Quilters annual State of the Art Quilt exhibition. Queensland Quilters Inc. defines an art quilt as a fibre or mixed media piece of two layers or more held together in some way. The finished piece needs to be identifiable as a quilt. The theme and size parameters of the entries were selected as a tribute to the 15 years of the exhibition and the 40 years of the organisation.
