A Day of Writing in Swan Hill

Join in for a day of celebrating LGBTQIA+ literature and sharing skills in developing your writing. Open to anyone from the local community with an interest in writing. They’re gamifying writing with Q-Lit’s specially designed kids workshop. Suitable for ages 8-14, the kids are given playful prompts that teach the basics of storytelling. Gain expert guidance on crafting the perfect piece of writing and walk away with a finished work that’s ready for the world! Begin with “Develop” an hour dedicated to foundational skills for starting a new piece. Next comes “Refine” focusing on honing and polishing your work. We finish with “Perform” covering the art of presenting your words aloud. Suitable for adults and VCE students. Finish the day with a relaxed evening alongside like-minded writers. Our professionals will be opening-up in a panel discussion, followed by an open mic where you can share your work or listen to the creations of others.
