Wooden Spoon Making with Anna Lane

Join Anna Lane of Sawdust Lane Woodworks to create your own functional wooden serving spoon. Starting with a spoon blank, participants will customise their pieces to a form of their choosing and add their own unique design elements; Anna will guide you through the process of marking out and shaping your spoon with a variety of rasps and files, before sanding and oiling your spoon for a smooth and food-safe surface. There will be a range of spoon blanks in various shapes/dimensions and different timbers such as Mahogany, Tasmanian Huon Pine and Queensland Kauri to select from on the day; choose the piece that speaks to you! All required tools and materials will be supplied and this workshop is suitable for complete beginners. (No prior experience necessary, just a bit of elbow grease!)
