Burton Automotive Newcastle Surfest Presented By Bonsoy is one of the most exciting fixtures as a longstanding, historic competition in this region's calendar. The Event will kick-off the 2025 Challenger Series. Over the years, it has seen some of the sport's biggest names hoist the Mark Richards Trophy, including Kelly Slater (USA), Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), Mick Fanning (AUS), Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), and Tom Curren (AUS), to name a few. After almost 40 years of running, the 2025 competition will be the biggest international field the event has hosted since March 2020.
