The O’Carolan Trio

Join this special music event and relaxed social gathering celebrating the close of the Halloran Contemporary Art Prize and announcement of the People's Choice Award with music from The O'Carolan Trio. Ticket includes one complimentary beverage, Irish-inspired grazing table and live music. Additional drinks will be available to purchase from the fundraising bar and the Museum and Halloran Contemporary Art Prize exhibition will be open. The O'Carolan Trio is led from the harp by Moira Lawry, one of Australia's foremost Celtic harpers. She is joined on violin by Samantha Tannous and on whistle by Fran Clements. The trio celebrate the music of great Irish harper and composer Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) and will be playing throughout the evening. The Announcement of the People's Choice Award will be made at approximately 5:15pm and is the only official proceedings for the evening. All welcome.
