Camerata in Concert – Gayndah

Join Camerata for an unforgettable evening of joyous classical music with a new Australian work in a concert the whole family will enjoy! Camerata in Concert will feature a 17-piece orchestra and a joyous program with works by Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Bloch, and more, including a brand-new composition by Camerata's 2025 Emerging Composer-in-Residence, Abigail Lui. Camerata will also be joined for some encores by local performers and community musicians. Camerata is delighted to premiere Lui's piece in regional Queensland, following a long tradition of local audiences loving new music commissioned by Camerata, previously based on the Fraser Coast, Banana Shire, Emerald, Winton in Western Queensland, and more. This year, Lui's work is inspired by her recent trip exploring the Southern Downs regions, including Warwick and Allora, conjuring evocative soundscapes in an exciting new work for string orchestra.
