Hand Sculpt your own pottery Green Man wall plaque with Diane

Bring a touch of ancient magic into your garden with your own Green Man plaque. Rooted in Druidic folklore, the Green Man is a symbol of nature's eternal cycle of growth, death, and rebirth — a guardian of the forests and a spirit of the wild. During the 4 weeks you will create your own Green man plaque under the expert tutorage of Diane. She will guide you through the process of making an armature, forming the structure of your plaque, creating and sculpting the design and finessing. After the course is completed your piece will slowly dry before undergoing two firings, before being ready to collect around 10th July. The clay surface will be left its raw deep terracotta colour. As your piece weathers in the outdoors it will gradually acquire a verdant sheen of algae or moss. You can even accelerate the process by smearing yogurt or buttermilk on your piece to encourage the algae to grow! Included in this course is all tuition, materials, equipment, clay and firings. Wear old clothes or feel free to bring an apron.
