Description

Are you in Years 6–12 and play a musical instrument – or thinking about starting? Come along to the Canberra Youth Concert Band Open Day and discover what it's like to be part of a vibrant, dynamic ensemble. The Canberra Youth Concert Band is a fun and inclusive group for young people who play woodwind, brass or percussion instruments. Whether you've been learning for a while or are new to music, this is your chance to explore what it means to play in a band, meet other young musicians, and get a taste of what the ensemble has to offer. The morning includes a full band rehearsal, instrument demonstrations, and plenty of time to ask questions. Parents and instrumental teachers are invited to an info session at 11:00am with conductor Wyana O'Keeffe and Artistic Director Michael Favreau. This is a free event, and you're welcome to come and observe or join in – just bring your instrument and a music stand. Book your place now via the website or email for more information.
