Where Australia's longest river system finally reaches the sea
Not every river gets a proper ending, but the Murray does, right here. The entire Murray-Darling system, thousands of kilometres of it, finally empties into the ocean at the Murray Mouth. Goolwa keeps genuine river port heritage from that same story, paddle steamers once loading wool and wheat where pleasure cruises now depart instead. This is where one very long journey finally ends.
