One of Adelaide's oldest inner suburbs, still wearing its original character

This part of Adelaide has barely changed shape since it was first laid out, Prospect Road still lined with heritage shopfronts and the odd Art Deco facade from the suburb's early boom years. The Regal Theatre keeps that era alive properly, one of the city's surviving heritage cinemas still screening films today. Beyond the main strip, quiet residential streets hold some of Adelaide's earliest established housing stock. This is a suburb built for a slow walk rather than a big day out.
