City of Salisbury

Most cities hide their water treatment behind fences, but Salisbury turned its into a genuine wildlife haven, the Greenfields Wetlands drawing birdlife to what began as an engineering project. Walking trails wind through the reed beds and open water, a quiet contrast to the suburbs surrounding them on every side. Mawson Lakes offers a different kind of water feature further along, canals and a central lake shaping the whole suburb around them. Infrastructure rarely looks this much like a wildlife park.
