City of Unley

This part of Adelaide has kept its original character better than almost anywhere else in the city, King William Road lined with heritage facades and grand old verandahs from the suburb's earliest decades. The Unley Museum fills in the details, local history told through a genuinely well-kept collection housed in a heritage building of its own. Quiet residential streets radiate out from the main strip, some of the best-preserved Victorian housing stock anywhere in the state. This is a suburb that never really felt the need to modernise.
