Home to one of the largest river red gums in the state
Not every small town has a genuine natural monument on its doorstep. Orroroo does, a river red gum estimated among the largest and oldest of its kind in South Australia, still standing beside Pekina Creek. Walking trails follow the creek through town, an easy stretch for anyone wanting to stretch their legs before heading further north. This district makes a quiet, easy stop on the road north.
