Float a creek clear enough to see straight through, then figure out the rest of your day
Eli Creek runs shallow and glass-clear across K'gari, cool enough on a hot day to float the whole stretch on a tube. From there, the rest of the coast opens up: River Heads is where most ferries leave for the island, and Point Vernon offers a calmer stretch of foreshore than the main esplanade. Rainbow Beach, further south, keeps its own coloured sand cliffs. However you piece the day together, none of it is far from anywhere else.
