Kiama Area

A hole in the rock that shoots the ocean into the sky

The Blowhole is the reason Kiama is famous, and in a decent swell it's genuinely astonishing, seawater forced skyward through a rock chimney, sometimes twenty-five metres up. Walk the clifftop Coast Walk south toward Gerringong, stopping to see if the quieter Little Blowhole is performing, and detour to Cathedral Rocks' sea caves at low tide. Inland, Minnamurra Rainforest swaps salt spray for boardwalks through rainforest to a hidden waterfall. The ocean picked this spot to show off, and never really stopped.
