Kosciuszko National Park

Kosciuszko is bigger than its summit: four resorts share these slopes in winter, Thredbo and Perisher the largest, Charlotte Pass reached only by oversnow transport, and Selwyn further north for a quieter run. The Main Range walk takes in the summit alongside Blue Lake's glacial water and open plains that turn alpine-white in winter and wildflower-gold in summer. Saddle up on the High Country trails that inspired the Man from Snowy River. This is a park with more than one way to feel small.
