Noosa Area

Noosa keeps its wildest edge undeveloped, and Noosa National Park's coastal track proves it, koalas dozing above a path that also delivers dolphins, turtles and, in season, whales from the cliffs. The Noosa River runs the other way, calm enough for an easy paddle upstream into the Everglades, part of one of the largest connected wetland systems left in the country. Hastings Street keeps the town centre low-rise and easy on the eye, nothing built to tower over the beach. It's the kind of town that makes slowing down feel like the whole point.
