Southern Rural Heritage

This stretch of the Wheatbelt wears its farming history openly, wide paddocks giving way to small towns built entirely around the seasons and the harvest. Grain silos along the trail have become genuine outdoor galleries, murals of farmers, jockeys and working dogs painted three storeys tall. Old machinery sheds and heritage buildings in towns nearby tell the quieter side of the same story, generations of families who worked this land before anyone thought to paint it. This is rural Australia exactly as it's always been, just occasionally dressed up for a photo.
