Chinamans Beach Evans Head
Bound by the native bushland of Bundjalung National Park and Dirawong Reserve, Chinamans Beach is a secluded beach a short drive from Evans Head township.
Follow the walking track from Chinamans Beach car park, down to one of the most peaceful spots along the North Coast. You'll enjoy endless coastal views from walking trails onto Goanna Headland where interpretive signs explain this site's significance to the Aboriginal people.
Snapper Rocks to the south of Chinamans Beach features large grassy headlands and spectacular views of the surrounding coastline.
There are many rock pools at low tide to be explored in the area between the beach and New Zealand Beach before walking to Snapper Rock. Beaches south of Snapper Rock are closed to the public due to the proximity of the bombing range.
Please note: Camping is prohibited at Chinamans Beach and Dirawong Reserve.
