Description

The Moree Historical Cemetery is a must-see for historians and genealogists. Amongst the headstones, you will find the names of Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens, the youngest son of author Charles Dickens and many more historic graves. Mary Brand (nee Geddes), the first European woman to settle in Moree and her daughter Janet Elizabeth Williams, the first European child born in Moree. Mary Band Park is another must-see! Look to the left after entering the main gate of the Moree Cemetery, to find these headstones.
