Heaton State Forest - Watagan Mountains

Heaton State Forest, part of the Watagan Mountains, is a beautiful forest encompassing spectacular lookouts that showcase views over the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie regions. Heaton's three lookouts - McLean, Hunter, and Heaton lookouts - offer outstanding coastal and mountain views. Watagan HQ camping area, an old forest worker campsite, is also available for picnics.
