Description
Southern Cotton operates a state of the art cotton gin in Whitton, New South Wales, in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA), southern NSW.
Southern Cotton, Australia's newest ginning facility, was built and commissioned in the 2012 season and boasts state of the art technology in quality measurement, cleaning, humidification, processing and data traceability. This technology ensures maximum yield and quality potential of lint is achieved.
From when the bales are brought in, cleaned and packed ready to ship out, Southern Cotton's specially-built observation walkways allow visitors to witness these stages first-hand in a safe environment. You could also see their two enormous yellow moon buggies in action!

Currently, Southern Cotton tours operate weekdays at 11am at $10 per person during ginning season (April-September) or by appointment.
On arrival at the gin, please follow the signs to the main entry, where your tour will start at 11am, or at your appointed time.
