Description

Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) is a dramatic feature of Wunaamin Conservation Park. Following wet season rains, great volumes of water cascade from the ranges into Dalmanyi creating a magnificent waterfall over layered sandstone rocks. The base of the falls forms a large pool surrounded by towering rocks and makes a superb spot for swimming. The river then flows to the Ilerdda (Walcott Inlet) in the northwest. Make sure you bring your camera as Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) is one of the most picturesque gorges in the Kimberley. Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) parking area is 30 kilometres off Gibb River Road (four-wheel drive) on Silent Grove Road, about 200 kilometres east of Derby. The rugged terrain of Wunaamin Conservation Park is only accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles. The park is open during the dry season between May and October depending on road access, and closed during the wet season when roads are impassable. Know before you go and check for alerts, emergency incidents and road/park closures in parks www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au.
