Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is one of the most popular Geraldton beaches for windsurfing and kite surfing. Hire your equipment in town, and whilst you are there you can arrange to take a lesson with a former National Champion before taking on the waves and famous Geraldton wind on your own. While the wave conditions make this beach more suitable for the experienced rider, spectators can relax on the soft white sandy beach and admire the skill of the windsurfers out on the water. A profusion of colour from the sails skimming across the water will fill the ocean most days. Experienced surfers will also enjoy the challenging ride on the waves off the coast. Geraldton offers several other beaches suitable for the less experienced surfer. Enjoy a 30 minute walk along the beach back to the town centre to explore many other attractions on offer in this charming coastal town. Sunset Beach is in the northern suburbs of Geraldton which is a 5 hour drive north of Perth.
