Victor Harbor Horse Tram

Take a journey on Australia’s only horse-drawn tramway, one of the few services worldwide that operates year-round. Magnificent Clydesdale horses pull the tram along the causeway from the coastal town of Victor Harbor to the stunning Granite Island. The tram covers the 630-meter causeway, offering trips throughout the day for visitors heading to Granite Island’s picturesque landscape. Around 100,000 visitors enjoy the ride annually, with over 2 million passengers having traveled on this historic service since 1986. Originally launched by the South Australian Railways in 1894, this unique tramway draws visitors from all corners of the globe.
