The Channon, Protesters Falls, Nimbin and Mount Nardi

Molesworth Street, Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, 2480 Arrow
Travel through the lush rainforest past historic protest sites and see one of the region's most spectacular waterfalls. The Channon is a pretty little village set in the foothills of the Nightcap Ranges. The Channon is home to the original North Coast craft market held every second Sunday of the month and over 30 years on, their ‘make it, bake it or grow it' philosophy still holds firm. Check out the village general store or the Channon Tavern. Terania Creek Picnic Area, the scene of the historic protests to stop logging, is located at the end of Terania Creek Road. From the main car park take the easy 1.4 kilometer walk that winds its way through Bangalow Palms to the base of Protesters Falls (45 minute return). Protesters falls is currently closed until 30 June 2023. Take one of the beautiful nature walks through Nightcap National Park at Mount Nardi.
