The Great K'gari Trail
Located on the Fraser Coast in Queensland, the K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) Gateway Drive offers the best of the Fraser Coast experience from the heritage and streetscapes of Maryborough to up close encounters with the Humpback Whales and adventuring around World Heritage Listed K'gari.
The journey begins in history filled Maryborough before continuing to the aquatic playground of Hervey Bay and the Great Sandy Strait and experiencing the endless adventure of the world's largest sand island, K'gari.
This region is home to an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, whales, turtles, dingoes, dugongs, platypus and the world’s largest variety of bird species which can be encountered along this four-day drive route.
