River Cafè

River Cafè has one of Adelaide’s most superb city locations; a floating pavilion on the water, there are beautiful unrestricted river and city views. River Cafè is one of those rare restaurants that is as atmospheric during daylight hours as it is as night. On hot days the windows roll away to give a magical dining experience. Equally the restaurant is cosy on cold wintery days that start with a drinks around the bar fireplace. River Cafè and their sibling the Red Ochre Barrel and Grill (located immediately above) are just a 10-minute walk along the River Torrens from the Adelaide Festival Centre and cab ride from any city hotel. Guests can alight immediately in front of their main entrance and there is disabled access to all dining levels. They also have ample free parking. The River Cafè has a celebrated reputation. ‘Modern Mediterranean’ cuisine with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce. They have an excellent wine list with the best of South Australia and a smattering of wider Australia and the old-world. Many are available by the glass.
