Tolmer Rocks - Mount Boothby Conservation Park

Tolmer Rocks Road, Colebatch, South Australia, Australia, 5266 Arrow
Standing at 129 metres high, the Tolmer Rocks are an imposing outcrop consisting of granite overlain with limestone. Located in the vicinity of Mount Boothby Conservation Park the site takes its name from Police Inspector Tolmer, who was instrumental in creating a gold escort route between Victoria and South Australia. A number of wells were established along the route and were regular watering points for Tolmer's team. The rocks are located on Tolmer Rocks Road approximately 20 kilometres from Tintinara which is situated on the Dukes Highway.
