Description

The Yeldulknie Hiking Trail is located in the Yeldulknie Conservation park and can be accessed from Mangalo Road. The Yeldulknie Conservation Park was proclaimed on 21 September 1989 in an effort to protect approximately 3283 hectares of Mallee Woodlands, and in particular the Senna Wattle (Acacia praemorsa). There is an abundance of flora and fauna to see on the trails, more information on the park and the trails can be found in the car park adjacent to the trail. Locally known as the 'Waterfall Walk', the hiking trail is a 4 km approximate return trip from the car park on Mangalo Road. There are a number of different trails, refer to the signage at the car park for the right option for you. You can spot wildlife, flora and fauna on your walk and after a good rain, the creek bed and waterfall are flowing and spectacular to see.
